• abitație - A dismemberment of the right of property (a strict variety of the right of use) that grants a person (the holder) the real and non-transferable right to live in and use an immovable property owned by another person (the bare owner), exclusively for satisfying their own and their family's housing needs.
• abitațiune - A learned, obsolete, or rare variant of the noun 'abitație' or 'habitație'. In old Romanian law and early translations of civil codes, the term denoted the real, legal, and non-transferable right of a person to occupy a dwelling owned by another.
