• abioză - A scientific term denoting the total absence of life or the state of an environment in which the existence of living organisms is completely impossible due to the lack of essential abiotic factors or the presence of extreme physico-chemical conditions. It can also describe the temporary suspension of an organism's vital manifestations (latent life state).
